1. Will this fix / cure me?
There is nothing that can actually fix you. The fixing comes about by your own self efforts and work you are willing to do on yourself and for yourself. This is not a magic bullet. It is one piece of the puzzle that can assist one to be more whole. Although it is a very important piece because if your network (brain) is running like you are in a traffic jam it is very difficult for your mind, emotions and body to respond appropriately. In many ways, the balancing that can be achieved through brain training is just the start of a life of greater connectedness to yourself and others.
2. Are there any side effects?
What is more common is that people lose weight because they are not craving sugars and sweets as much. Many people also report that it is easier to exercise and find that they sleep better. Generally people just feel happier. A very small percentage of people occasionally experience restless sleep, slight irritability, nausea / dizziness and occasional body aches as part of the brain-body’s natural balancing mechanisms. Any symptoms experienced are short lived and will typically last no longer than 24-72 hours.
3. Does it work for everyone?
No it does not. Nothing works for everyone. What limits it working for a person is often their own belief system. If they do not believe it could help them then it likely will not. However, if you are coming with an open mind, an intention and willingness to change or let go then there is a very strong chance that it could be of great benefit to you. If you want to see who it has worked for and what they have found I invite you to go to the Results page and read about t
he various outcomes people have had going through Brain State Conditioning.
4. Do you have keep coming back for sessions?
No you do not. How much you chose to do is up to you. Profound results are seen typically in 5-30 session. The new neural pathways are permanent. They will continue firing in a dominant position. Sometimes life events can put the old neural pathway back into dominance and then additional training may help reestablish the dominance of the new neural pathway. Even then the way you go through life events is often less challenging than before. Some people want to do more sessions because they want to focus going deeper in their spiritual evolution or mediation. Others like to do it because they just like the way it makes them feel. However you do not need to keep doing sessions unless you feel moved to. With that said our brain or computer is always working and if you want to keep your engine running well doing some tune-up sessions once or twice a year can be of great benefit.
5. How can I get the most out of my sessions?
Here are some simple suggestions go get the most out of your sessions. One of the most important things is to let go and trust the process rather than trying to control what is happening. Trying to control often is a defense strategy and works with the conscious mind. We are trying to work with the unconscious mind and they change best when defensive strategies are at a minimum. From the time of training until 3 weeks after please observe the following:
Avoid drinking alcohol
Drink plenty of water
Eat protein each day while training (your body uses 40% of the protein you eat to supply the brain).
Avoid Chiropractic, Acupuncture, Cranial Sacral, Osteopathic work – all of these modalities have a direct affect on the nervous system and can interfere with the building of the new neural pathways.
Getting an ample supply of Omega 3 fats though one’s diet or supplementation is recommended.
Getting a good form of mineral salts (ex. Himalayan Crystal Salts) in a brine solution would be extremely helpful. In order for the nervous system and brain to function properly we all need proper mineral intake.
You might also consider journaling as you start to become aware of the subtle changes taking place in your reality.
6. What to expect during the sessions.
During the sessions many people feel energized. You may experience some tiredness if you are dehydrated or have not eaten enough protein. Dreams are also often more vivid during brain training. Occasionally people will experience agitation, nausea, fatigue or dizziness. This often passes within 1-3 days of training. In addition to the lack of nutrition tiredness may also occur from the natural process of the brain healing. 90% of healing happens in the sleep state. This is not an uncommon experience and the tiredness is often short lived. Once your sessions are complete the brain will continue developing new neuro nets for up to 10 weeks or longer after your last session. So the process will continue even when you finish. Drinking alcohol will stop the growth of new neural nets
7. Does anything get fed into my brain?
No there is nothing being put into your brain. The EEG cables are 'read only' and simply listen to the frequencies emanating from your brain. At no time is anything fed into the brain via these cables. The computer does not even generate the sound. The person’s brain generates the sound; the software translates the brain waves into musical notes. You wear a headset (like the ear buds on an iPod) and listen to tones and frequencies that your brain generates based on your individual training protocols.
8.
Will this help with worked with anyone who has been diagnosed with Alzheimer's, dementia or people with brain damage?
Many people with brain damage or different types of memory difficulties have reported improvements and a better quality of life. The idea is that when a person’s brain is more balanced then there is more energy available to the brain for healing. When the brain is more balanced that the person will function better, but we don't always know specifically how. It certainly couldn't hurt and may be worth a try.
9.
What's required to get started?
In addition to being truly ready to make positive changes for your well being and a better life -- the first step is a personal assessment which takes approximately 1 hour. The assessment includes a reading of your brainwaves in six areas of your brain. Your brain balancing protocols are determined by the results of the assessment and the regular brain balancing sessions can begin. You may have your first brain balancing session immediately following the assessment or at another scheduled time.
10. How long is a session?
Approximately 1 ½ - 1 ¾ hours, of which approximately 70 minutes is devoted to brain balancing. The remainder of the time is for moving of the electrodes, computer set up and instructions to and client consultation.
11. What is the recommended number of sessions for this process to really be effective?
For a client to gain the initial maximum benefit from brain balancing, a series of 10 sessions is required. Ideally this is best to be done over a period of 5-7 days. So you would be doing 2 sessions a day. The reason for this schedule is that the brain loves to go back to its old patterns and habits. After a brain balancing session, the new neural pathways (balanced thought) are dominate for 24-48 hours. We believe it is extremely important not to allow significant time between these sessions for old neural pathways (unbalanced thought) to become dominate again. For optimal balance and effectiveness it is recommended that most people complete 30 sessions The remaining 20 sessions, however, may be scheduled over a one-years time period.
12. How soon before results are evident?
Each person is different; therefore the outcome is unique to that individual. Typically a person will notice changes within the first 3 -5 sessions.
13. How are results seen?
Results can vary. It depends on why you seek brain balancing. For example, clients with addiction or anger issues usually feel results immediately and people around them quickly notice changes. Clients with less significant imbalances usually show more subtle results which are often noticed first by the people around them, like family members, friends, associates at work, etc. Benefits felt by most clients, regardless of the issues that brought them in are, sense of calmness, relaxation, reduced stress and anxiety, better sleep - and the list goes on. Young people and the elderly respond extremely quickly.
14.
Is this process effective to enhance performance, such as sports, academic performance and work productivity?
Yes, and in fact one of the first success stories was a young college student who went from almost failing to excelling, making the Dean's List and graduating with a 3.8 grade point average within a few months. The technology is also used to increase and improve sports performance for athletes.
15.
What age must a person be to use this technology?
Adults and children both can use this technology. Children 12 and under can be seen on a case by case basis. For younger children it is strongly recommended that the one or both of the parents also do Brain State Conditioning as well since the child’s issues are often very connected with what is going on with the parent or parents.
16.
Is this a magic pill that will cure what ails me?
Absolutely NOT. Depending upon the issues that brought you to here, we might recommend a variety of other healing modalities which would be discussed during the initial consultation. BSC does not treat symptoms.
17. Does electricity get processed into the brain or body?
Absolutely NOT. The technology generates sound-waves delivered through earphones that allow your brain to form new, balanced neural pathways.
18.
Is this process safe?
Yes. The process is non-invasive - meaning, NO drugs, NO electricity into the brain or body, NO surgical procedures. We simply balance and harmonize the brain which enhances the brain's performance.
19.
Who should use this technology?
It works well for most people - whether you have major issues or behaviors that need improvement and change or if you just want to feel more relaxed, calm and clear-minded - it's for a better life.
20. Do I have to do anything during the sessions?
Yes. You sit relaxed in a comfortable reclining chair and follow the simple directions of the technician providing the protocols. Sometimes your eyes are open and sometimes closed, while thinking of relaxing, calming thoughts, activities or nothing at all.
21.
Does it interfere with medications?
BSC does not interfere with medications. However, as the brain becomes more balanced, a person may not need the same amount of medication as before, so the person may want to work with their doctor if this occurs.
22.
Are there any medications that prevent brain balancing?
Yes. BSC is not advised if clients are on any kind of beta-blockers. These medications are usually prescribed for heart conditions. Beta Blockers tend to interfere with BSC about 50% of the time. This means a person can still train while taking beta blocker but their progress may be very slow. Many doctors are willing to switch to non beta blocker so please check with your physician regarding this.
23.
Is this process covered by insurance?
Currently this process is not covered under insurance.
